ALMA — AI Literacy Mindset Assessment
Please read these Terms carefully before using the ALMA platform. They explain your rights and obligations, how we handle your data, and the legal framework governing your use of our services.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "Organisation") and The Responsible AI Center, a company registered in Belgium ("we", "us", "our"), governing your access to and use of the ALMA — AI Literacy Mindset Assessment platform ("Platform").
By creating an account, accessing the Platform, or clicking "Accept", you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are accepting on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform.
ALMA is a psychometric diagnostic platform designed to assess organisational and individual capacity for human oversight of AI systems, in alignment with EU AI Act obligations. The Platform provides:
- AI literacy and human oversight capacity assessments
- Organisational benchmarking and gap analysis
- Regulatory intelligence and compliance guidance
- Reporting and evidence documentation tools
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time, with reasonable notice where practicable.
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Ensuring that all users within your organisation comply with these Terms
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account at [email protected]
You must not share account credentials, create accounts on behalf of others without authorisation, or use automated means to access the Platform without our prior written consent.
You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- Use the Platform to violate any applicable law or regulation
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its infrastructure
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform
- Transmit any material that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
- Use the Platform to conduct assessments on individuals without their informed consent
- Resell or sublicense access to the Platform without our written consent
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Platform
All intellectual property rights in the Platform, including the assessment methodology, psychometric instruments, software, content, and branding, are owned by or licensed to The Responsible AI Center. Nothing in these Terms transfers any IP rights to you.
The Human Oversight Capacity Diagnostic is jointly developed with Ethica Group Ltd. All rights in the diagnostic instrument are jointly held.
You retain ownership of all data you input into the Platform ("Your Data"). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process Your Data solely to provide the Platform services to you.
We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Belgian data protection law. Our full privacy and data processing statement is available on the GDPR & privacy page.
Where you use the Platform to process personal data of your employees or other individuals, you act as the data controller and we act as data processor. A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is available on request at [email protected].
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Responsible AI Center shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising under or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Belgian law.
ALMA assessment results are diagnostic indicators intended to support decision-making. They do not constitute legal advice and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for regulatory compliance decisions.
Either party may terminate access to the Platform by providing written notice. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these Terms, fail to pay applicable fees, or if required by law.
Upon termination, your right to access the Platform ceases. We will retain your data for 30 days following termination to allow export, after which it will be deleted in accordance with our data retention policy.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Belgium, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Belgium. Before initiating legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes in good faith through negotiation.
If you are a consumer, you may also have the right to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a prominent notice on the Platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
